“…whoever welcomes a child like this…. welcomes Me.”
A Letter from Brian & Anna
Howdy from Nebraska!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We are a caring couple excited to become first-time parents through adoption. We desire to share our love of animals, nature, and God with our child. We look forward to attending events, and going to rodeos together as a family! We are open to sharing photos, videos, letters, and stories with you.
Our relationship began 11 years ago when we met while working as missionaries. Anna was serving in the Dominican Republic and Brian was on Guam. We attended a training at the same time in Colorado and we instantly felt a connection. In 2017, we were married and since then we have built our lives on our ranch. Together we raise cattle and horses and love spending time together. After trying for some time to grow our family, we found we were unable to conceive. We know that God’s plan to grow our family is through adoption and we look forward to sharing our love for animals, the land, and our passion for helping others with your child.
Brian is a hard worker who trains horses, helps nearby ranchers and farmers, and maintains our cow herd. He is a smart, funny, caring, and generous person who loves to laugh. Helping others is just a natural extension of him. He has helped with the church youth group, currently serves on the church security team, and many ranchers have him help tend to their sick animals, and feed their cows in the winter. Brian is a very genuine, honest, and open person. He shares his faith, his struggles, and his victories freely and people are drawn to him. Brian loves to read, work on the ranch, and has a passion for rodeos. He is excited to read to our child every night and teach them how to ride a horse!
Anna is a kind, compassionate lady who cares deeply for those around her. It seems natural that she became a nurse. Anna works hard to improve other people’s situations and never backs away from a challenge. She has improved the ranch with her suggestions and readily helps with work. She enjoys volunteering in the church nursery and loves maintaining her friendships. She also has a heart for animals- caring for kittens, calves, chickens and horses. She loves to travel, cook, bake, crochet and garden. She speaks Spanish fluently and uses this gift to help Spanish speakers in our community. Anna looks forward to sharing her passions for language, travel, food, and the outdoors with our child!
We have grown up in families of faith and believe that God should be put first in all that we do. We plan to raise our child to know God and His infinite love. Our faith has been enhanced by all that we see and do on the ranch. His creation teaches us about His goodness and provision and we are looking forward to sharing the blessings we have been given.
Brian’s family lives nearby and we regularly get together with them. His brother and sister’s families live close and we get together for holidays, birthdays, and other events. We also look after our nieces and nephews several times a year.
Anna’s family is spread out, but her parents spend the summers in town with their RV. They help on the ranch and are excited to be actively involved in our child’s life. They are looking forward to welcoming their first grandchild and are very excited to share their time and love with them. Anna’s sister and brother visit less often due to the distance, but are very excited for us to adopt!
We have a 37-acre ranch in central Nebraska and raise cows and horses. We assist our neighbors with their sheep herd when needed and share our home with our friendly dog, Tipton, who is great with children. The bounties of the ranch provide us with fresh eggs, fresh beef, and many vegetables that we eat in the summer from our garden and which we also preserve in order to enjoy later on.
Our house is an older farmhouse/cabin style that we are remodeling. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and it is cozy and comfortable with a fireplace in the living room! We have a nursery with a newly remodeled bathroom. We have put time and love into building bookshelves and decorating the nursery as a couple. We know we will spend a lot of time there with our new baby!
Our promise is to care for your child in an open and genuine way. We promise to teach them to be strong and courageous in their faith and share with them our love for learning. We will also teach them to be hardworking and kind. We look forward to traveling together, watching rodeos, and reading and listening to music together. We are so excited to share our ranching lifestyle with your child! We would love to take you along on this journey through photos, videos, and occasional visits if you are comfortable.

More About Our Family
Growing up in Christian homes, we both attended church with our families. We met at missionary training and spent time in our 20s on the mission field. Brian worked with radio transmitters with a faith based organization in Guam and then in Benin (west Africa) as well as helped with several local youth groups. Anna ran a medical clinic in the Dominican Republic with a Christian mission where she became fluent in Spanish. We continue to serve at our church in the nursery (Anna) and on the security team (Brian) and support several overseas missionaries. We love God and have a passion to serve in whatever capacity we can - we continue to grow in our faith and our love for His people.
Our Musical Interest
We are music lovers and enjoy all types of music from Christian rock to rap to classical music. We both love to sing and though we are not talented players, we enjoy watching concerts, opera, symphony, etc. when the opportunity presents itself. Brian gets his love of music from his grandmother who led the church choir and Anna has grown to love music through choir and band as well as attending art performances.
About Our Home
We have a log cabin style ranch house on 37 acres. The remodeled home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Our nursery has its own brand new bathroom! There is plenty of room to run and play outside and horses to ride later on. Many animals to interact with (chickens, cows, horses, etc.) as well our friendly dog, Tipton, who is great with children to have adventures with! From our living room there is a beautiful view of rolling hills out the big picture window and in the winter there is a cozy fireplace.
Our Special Interests
Anna enjoys sewing and crafting. She has mainly been working on crocheting baby blankets and clothes for friends and family. She plans to make blankets, sweaters and other clothing for her children in the future as well. Anna also enjoys writing - she has written poetry and short stories and is working on some children's books. In addition, she loves to cook and bake and spends time in the summer gardening and putting up/canning food for winter.
Brian has been working on saddle making and repair. He recently finished a pair of hand crafted and tooled leather chaps for riding. He is an avid reader and likes likes various topics from historical works to science fiction. He loves to work with his hands and builds and repairs many needed items around the ranch. Brian also greatly enjoys working with young horses to develop their talents and shape them into top notch cow horses. Many locals bring young horses to Brian to start their training and trust him to give the horses a good foundation.
