A Letter from Garrett & Amy
Thank you for learning more about our family. We are a fun-loving Christian couple from Alabama, and we have been happily married for 11 years. We have two little boys who will be wonderful big brothers to your baby girl. We look forward to adding to our family, and we’d love to share with you how we could love and provide for your child.
We met in college and it didn’t take very long for us to realize we were meant to be. We truly are best friends, and we always have so much fun together. We married a year later and have now been happily married for 11 wonderful years and are the proud parents of two funny and loving little boys, Alex and Griffin.
Our interest in adoption began before we started having children and, after going through a difficult pregnancy loss, the desire to adopt has grown tremendously. God continues to draw our hearts toward adoption and we want to follow His direction in our lives. We are so excited for the opportunity to care for another child, especially a baby girl.
Our family is relaxed and fun-loving. We enjoy going on fishing trips, camping trips, having family game nights, and boat rides at the lake. We are excited to share all of this and so much more with your child.
The perfect word to describe Garrett is FUN! He loves making people laugh, and his love for life is contagious. Wherever he goes, he has a great time! He is a wonderful provider for our family, a loving husband, and a devoted father. Our children have the best example to follow when it comes to how to treat a girl and being a man who loves the Lord. Whatever Garrett does, he does it well and gives it 100%, including his job as a full-time Student Pastor at our church.
In his free time, you can find him playing golf, watching football, or hunting and fishing with our boys. Garrett is excited to teach her how to fish and hit a baseball.
Amy is one of the most loving, fun and kind-hearted women I have ever met. She is a wonderful stay-at-home mom to our sons, and she is an awesome wife and best friend to me. She has a desire to raise our children to be successful in life and always walks close with the Lord. She does a great job making our house a home, and she is a wonderful cook. Some of her favorite past times are reading a good book, writing/blogging, cooking, and decorating.
Amy is excited to teach our next child how to cook and read. She looks forward to enjoying a close mother/ daughter relationship like she has with her mom.
Griffin is our 7-years-old boy with a tender heart. He loves building with Legos, dressing up as a superhero, and playing outside with his brother. He is smart and when he grows up, he wants to be a police officer.
Alex is our spunky 5-year-old! He loves catching frogs, playing in the dirt, and running fast. He is funny and loves to learn about animals, mostly reptiles. He is looking forward to being a big brother, and he will be a great one!
Your child will be loved by the greatest two sets of grandparents! Our parents are faithful Christians who have been wonderful examples to us. Garrett’s parents have been happily married 37 years, and Amy’s have been for 44 years. They are active grandparents who are very involved in our children’s lives.
We have lived in our traditional style, single-story brick home for 9 years now. Many people comment that our home is warm and welcoming and we love hearing that because that’s exactly the way we want it to feel like to those that visit! We would describe our home as cute, simple, and cozy! Amy does a great job of keeping it clean, organized, and decorated.
We also own 20 acres of land just outside town that is quiet, spacious and has plenty of room for our children to explore. Our future plans are to build a home here in the next few years.
Our promise as parents is to provide a secure home for your baby filled with unconditional love and grace. We will teach her to lean on the Lord and to follow His guidance and wisdom. We will raise your child to be successful in her dreams and to support her every step of the way. We will nurture, protect, and do all we can to make sure your baby has the best life possible.

More About Our Family
Since Garrett is a Student Pastor, we spend a lot of time ministering to teenagers. We try to go to as many of their ballgames and special events as we can. Amy hosts a Bible study in our home for the girls once a month. Our boys think of the youth group as their older brothers and sisters!
We go on a mission trip within the United States every year with our church. Garrett and I have both served outside the U.S., in Venezuela and Guatemala. Serving together as a family is fun!
We are passionate about helping others who have also experienced miscarriage and pregnancy loss. We have even started a local ministry to help comfort grieving parents. We also have a huge heart for special needs children, and we enjoy helping them.
Our faith is most important in our lives. We both decided to put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ when we were young, and we have both grown in our walk with Christ over time. In our everyday lives, our faith is what guides our decision-making, our parenting, and our relationships with other people. We believe that the goal of our lives is to live in a way that brings honor and glory to the name of Christ.
In our home, the Bible is read daily with our children. We look forward to bedtime when we get to talk about our day and pray with them. We always allow them time to say what they are thankful for each day (which can be pretty funny!), and they love to pray for their future sibling. Our adoption is prayed for daily with great anticipation and excitement!
As an expression of our faith, we enjoy teaching and serving others in our church and in our community. Garrett teaches the youth group, and Amy hosts the youth girls in our home once a month. She also is passionate about ministering to women who have been through pregnancy loss.
Our Musical Interest
Our music interest is all over the map! We love it all, but our top favorite would be any 80's and 90's music, especially in the car on trips!
We also love Christian worship music, and our boys enjoy it just as much. We love playing it loud throughout the house while doing the chores.
Where We Live
We are from one of the most charming, small towns in Alabama, known for it's family-friendly events and history. Our area has an excellent school system, and our home is just a few minutes away from the elementary school where our kids attend. We are a short distance from the beach and love to take day trips with the kids. We absolutely love where we live, and we believe it's one of the best places to raise a family.
Our Favorite Family Activities
We love goofy golf, being at the lake fishing or riding the boat, going to the boys’ ballgames, camping, bowling, swimming, going out to eat, riding the golf cart, going to the movies, and checking out museums. We just love being together as a family, no matter what we’re doing!
