A Letter from James & Kaylee
Hello from Missouri! We are a fun-loving family of three excited to grow our family through adoption. We have always hoped that adoption would be a part of our story, and we are truly honored to begin this season of our lives. We look forward to the joy of sharing our hearts and our home with our next child. We would love to share life with you through letters, pictures, and visits depending on what is most comfortable for you. We look forward to getting to know you, and to growing a relationship with you.
We met at work after months of coworkers trying to set us up because we were “perfect for one another.” It turns out they knew what they were talking about – we have been married for 8 years now! We are blessed with a sweet and spirited daughter, Charlotte, who brings so much joy to our lives.
As a family, we enjoy spending time outside playing, riding bikes, jumping in puddles after big rains, and going for walks. We are known to have random living room dance parties and love to make music with a variety of instruments. We enjoy being home with one another, yet also enjoy trips to the zoo, aquarium, or nature trails. No matter what we’re doing, we always have fun when we’re together, and we look forward to sharing our lives with our next child.
James’ all-time favorite activity is spending time with his girls. He also has a passion for anything aviation-related, loves to ride his bike, and enjoys spending time in his “workshop” (AKA our garage). He has an interest in amateur radio and has participated in various emergency preparedness events in our community. He is our Saturday morning pancake chef, our live-in handyman, and our biggest cheerleader.
James is the most patient person I have ever met. He is incredibly loving, kind, and supportive. He knows when to be serious, and when to be goofy. James loves fiercely with his whole heart and will go to great lengths to serve like Christ. Watching him become a dad has been one of my favorite parts of our marriage. As a father, he is engaged, attentive, fun, and reliable, and he looks forward to showing our next child that same unconditional love, acceptance, and guidance.
Kaylee likes to relax at home with our family on Saturday mornings, and is always up for random adventures. She enjoys walks in the neighborhood, or at the local walking park. She loves taking family trips, and you can frequently find her going to thrift stores in search of a bargain.
Kaylee is a friendly and out-going person with the ability to create a relationship with anyone she meets. Everyone she meets is touched in some way by her caring spirit. She loves to laugh and loves to help others enjoy life through laughter as well. Kaylee keeps very busy taking care of our family being a stay-at-home mom, and she excels in every way with that title. She cherishes the opportunity to be home with Charlotte, and she very much looks forward to sharing those moments with our next child.
We live in a 3 bedroom home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Missouri. We have a spacious fenced-in backyard where we spend lots of time playing when it’s nice outside. There is also a sunroom off our dining room that we use as a play area. We have one very social cat named Festus, who loves kids, and a sweet, playful Miniature Australian Shepherd, Mollie. We live in a smaller town that boasts beautiful parks and a nice YMCA, and there are other young children in our neighborhood. Our church, which is a few minutes from our home, is made up of many young families with lots of children.
Our daughter, Charlotte, is 5 and is a pure joy. She is continually making us laugh with the silly things she does and says. She loves to care for her dolls and is captivated by every baby we meet. We talk very frequently and openly with her about the adoption process and pray about it together daily. Charlotte talks about the adoption and her future sibling every day, and is excited to become a big sister and help with all of the various activities that come with caring for a baby.
Both of our extended families live in the same town as us, and we spend much of our time with them. We attend church with James’ parents, and we have weekly dinners with both James’ and Kaylee’s parents. We also have many close-knit friends within our community. All of our family and friends are excited to welcome another child alongside us and to love them unconditionally.
We promise to provide your child with unconditional love in a stable Christian home. We promise to love, protect, fight for, defend, encourage, and graciously raise them. We promise to pour into them our time and attention. We will teach them the Gospel and do our very best to display the grace, mercy, and love of Jesus in our words and actions. We promise to provide your child with safety and stability and to offer them great educational opportunities while also supporting their unique interests. We promise to remember you, both in relationship and in our conversations, and to celebrate your deep love for them. We would love the opportunity to stay in contact with you in whatever way feels most comfortable to you.

More About Our Family
We are actively involved in our local church. James plays bass guitar on the worship team and serves in the children's ministry on Wednesday nights. Kaylee is the nursery director. Our faith is more than just attending and serving at church. Jesus is the reason for everything we do and He is the center of our marriage and family.
Our Special Interests
As a family, we enjoy living life together and have fun no matter what we're doing. We love family bike rides, going to the YMCA, and last-minute day trips. We also enjoy simply staying at home and spending time together playing games, reading, or getting into whatever our daughter comes up with! Random dance parties and movie nights are not uncommon at our house. We also spend a lot of our free time with our families, as both live in town!
Kaylee enjoys being creative with the help of her Cricut craft machine. She is on the leadership team of her local Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group as the Hospitality Leader, and enjoys spending time with other moms.
James has a wide variety of interests. From music to woodworking, cycling to amateur radio, he often is torn by what hobby to invest in his free time. He has made many things in his home woodworking shop and has participated in Bike MS for several years.
Our Musical Interest
We enjoy all genres of music, and have many family dance parties in our living room! Kaylee grew up playing piano and also played the flute in the school band. James plays bass guitar. Our home is filled with all kinds of musical instruments for our daughter to explore, learn, and play with!
About Our Home
We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a cozy three-bedroom ranch style home with a big fenced in backyard. We live half a mile from a beautiful park, and the YMCA is just a few blocks further. There is a sunroom that we use as a playroom where we spend lots of time "cooking" and playing doctor with our daughter! We always enjoy playing games together.
