A Letter from Spencer & Marisa
We are a loving Christian family of four excited to welcome another child into our home. We are financially stable and own our own home. We have wanted to pursue adoption even before we were married and we are excited to be pursuing it now. We enjoy going for walks, playing in our backyard with the kids, and having family playtime.
We have been married for almost 7 years and together for 10 years. Together we have two boys, Reed (age 5) and Jackson. (age 4)
Adoption has always been on our hearts even before we were married and we are so excited to finally be pursuing it. We have been praying and discussing adoption and believe now is the perfect time for our family to welcome your child into our home.
We are a loving and tight-knit family. We love spending time with and investing in our kids lives. We love playing outside, going for walks, going out for lunch, visiting the park and local community events, and most of all we love spending time all together at home.
Spencer is a hardworking provider, loving husband, and caring father. His family’s happiness is his top priority in life. He will do whatever it takes to ensure his children have every opportunity to succeed in following their dreams! Spencer always does his best at everything he does. He is a very passionate and caring person and is the most fun and involved father.
Spencer loves investing, learning, growing and self-improvement. In his free time, he enjoys playing and snuggling with the kids, cooking, and reading. Spencer makes pancakes for the kids every Saturday morning and takes them to the park and for ice cream every weekend in the summer. The kids love spending time with him and can’t wait until he gets home.
Spencer has always wanted a big family and is very excited to continue to grow our family.
Marisa loves caring for and enjoying our family. She spends her time teaching and playing with the kids, keeping our house organized and cooking. She loves to read, snuggle with our boys, try new recipes, and make every day special.
Marisa is a hardworking and devoted wife and mother. She is passionate about disability rights and advocacy and serves on our local Children’s Hospital Parent’s advisory board. She stays home with the kids and loves to spend time with them and play during the week.
Marisa is looking forward to welcoming a new child into our home with open arms.
Reed is our sweet and loving almost 6-year-old. He loves to run, jump, play legos and his favorite part of the day is when daddy comes home from work. Reed has Autism and is one of the most joyful and happy kids you will ever meet.
Jackson is our youngest and he is 4 years old. He adores Spider-Man, snuggles in the rocking chair and having someone to play with. Jackson also has Autism and is so excited to finally be a big brother. He looks forward to playing with a new sibling!
Family is very important to us. We live very close to Marisa’s parents and younger brother and visit every Sunday. Nana loves coming to play and watch the kids! They are extremely excited to be grandparents/uncle again. Nana has already started picking out baby clothes and bought baby dolls for our kids to practice with.
Spencer’s family lives a little farther away but we still visit often! Spencer is the second oldest of 9 siblings. Family get-togethers include lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. The kids love visiting because there are always people to play with. Spencer’s family is really excited about our adoption. Every new little one in the family brings so much joy to the kids and especially Spencer’s parents!
Our Kentucky home is a 3 bedroom, tri-level home with two living areas and a kitchen. It’s the perfect family home! We enjoy keeping our home clean and organized and having family over. We live in a small neighborhood within walking distance of the library, ice cream shop, and park. We have a great fenced-in backyard with a swing set and we love setting up a little pool in the summertime. We have enjoyed setting up and decorating the nursery right across from our bedroom.
We promise to love and adore your child. We promise to raise them in a loving and faith-based home. We promise to give them every opportunity to succeed and grow in life. We promise to be open and honest with your child about their adoption story and remind them of your love for them. We also promise to be faithful to our communication and letters with you.
