“…whoever welcomes a child like this…. welcomes Me.”

A Letter from Andrew & Rebecca

Hello! We are Andrew and Rebecca. We have one son, Rollo, and a lovable dog, Darla. We’re very family oriented. Whether we’re listening to music, having a dance party at home, doing art, taking a hike, or just enjoying the outdoors, being together is what we’re all about.

Rebecca and some of her siblings were adopted, so it’s been a topic close to our hearts from the beginning. Adoption has always been part of our plans. After we had our son, we experienced secondary infertility and have not been able to have another child biologically. We trust that God has a plan for us to grow our family and we know it’s the right time to take steps toward adopting our next child. It’s exciting to be in this process and we’d love to learn more about you and the life you want for your baby!

A Little About Us

Our story began when we met through mutual friends while we were living in Pennsylvania. After we had our son we moved back to Wisconsin to be near Rebecca’s family and raise our children here. We’ve been married over 5 years and becoming parents has been a huge joy for us as a couple.

Together we enjoy:
• Reading books
• Listening to music
• Hiking
• Cooking
• Going to church
• Getting outside

Meet Rebecca

What Andrew says: Rebecca is very attentive, patient, supportive, and encouraging. She is great at communicating and talking through things with our son. Rebecca loves teaching him about the world around us and devoting her time as a stay-at-home mom.

Rebecca’s interests:
• Playdates with families in her MOPS group
• Exploring local wildlife conservation areas with Rollo
• Finding unique artwork
• Caring for our baby ducks

Meet Andrew

What Rebecca says: Andrew is calm and warm-hearted, like a big teddy bear. He enjoys his job as a machinist and getting to turn metal into functional, usable parts. Even after a day of hard work, he still enjoys helping with the cooking and cleaning at home. Andrew is a loyal and good provider for our family and a great dad!

Andrew’s interests:
• Reading
• Playing music
• Learning new things
• Doing yard work

Family Life

Our son, Rollo, is 3 years old and he loves animals, music, art, and playing outside. He is a very thoughtful little boy and loves to help out whenever he can. Rollo will be a caring big brother!

Extended Family: We have a big, loving family who has always had open arms to everyone. Rollo has 14 aunts and uncles and 20 cousins! Rebecca has 7 brothers and sisters, 5 of whom live in our county, with 2 of them just 10 minutes away. We love spending lots of time with our family! Since adoption is already such a big part of Rebecca’s immediate family, it’s been wonderful to see the support from our loved ones as we grow our own family through adoption. We know everyone will be excited to welcome the child we are chosen to adopt!

Our Home in Wisconsin

We live just outside of a lake town in the south-eastern part of the state. It’s a popular vacation spot because of the things to enjoy outdoors here, such as hiking paths along the lake, boating, music in the park, and so much more. One of our favorite things about living here is how central we are to our extended family. We love our community too!

Our home is a sweet old farmhouse on 1.5 acres. The house has 4 bedrooms, and we have everything we need to set up a nursery when we adopt. We have a large backyard that backs up to a horse farm’s pasture and we love to see the horses and wildlife that come through it. This is a beautiful place to raise a family!

From Our Hearts

Through Rebecca’s personal experience with open adoption we have a unique understanding of what it’s like to grow up in an adoptive family and maintain a relationship with the biological family. We will make sure your child knows he or she can talk to us about any of their questions or thoughts as they process their own adoption story, as part of our family. As parents, we want our children to trust us to be there for them through anything.

We promise to:
• Love and support your child with honesty, encouragement, and being intentional about time and attention together.
• Teach the value of hard work, thinking for oneself, caring for others, and learning from everyday life.
• Share the love of God and importance of faith.
• Provide a Christian education at the same school Rebecca attended as a child.
• Honor an open adoption with you, if you’d like ongoing contact, and encourage a connection between you and your child.
• Raise your child to understand how much you will always mean to us.

Thank you for learning about us and the life we’d love to share with your child as his or her adoptive family. We hope to get to know you more and would love to talk or do a video chat! Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

With love, Andrew & Rebecca

More About Our Family
Fun Facts About Us

Andrew’s grandfather invented a digital watch for a well-known watch designer!

Rebecca is always singing! She makes up little songs for anything, like taking out the garbage to brushing our teeth. Among our loved ones she’s known for finding quirky things to try or experience too.

Our Pets

We have a dog, Darla, who is a big part of our family and one of the most gentle and loving pups. She is silly and loves to be around us wherever we are. This year we got 5 runner ducklings we named Betsy, Dot, Lulu, Peach, and Mabel. They’ve been very sweet pets and it’s been fun to watch them grow. We love having pets and raising our children around animals.

Family Traditions

• Finding any excuse to get together, such as birthdays (lots of birthdays in our family!), game nights, and big family dinners
• Annual “Pier Party” at Gigi and Poppa’s house on the day we put the boat pier into the lake for the season
• “Willaween” when we celebrate a cousin’s birthday on Halloween

Our Values

Our faith and God are the most important aspects in our lives. We value honesty, forgiveness, independence, and hard work. As parents we try to model what matters to us in everything we do, so they can learn by our example.
