Hello! We are Chris and Lisa, and we are excited to meet you! We have been married for 13 years and know that adoption is the best choice for our family. We are an open book and are looking forward to getting to know you. We are settled in a home in the Pacific Northwest near family and friends who are anxious to include our child into our extended family. Chris is a machinist and Lisa is a full-time homemaker now, previously in online management. We want to find out your wishes and dreams for your child. We are open to adopting a girl or boy, and if you desire, look forward to sharing an open adoption journey together!
About Us
We have fun being on the nerdy side, so meeting through friends at a Star Trek movie was perfect for us. Chris could tell right away that Lisa’s outgoing, friendly personality was perfect for him. His words were, “She can talk for the both of us!” However, Lisa has learned to let him get a word in edgewise through time! We share our Christian faith and have many mutual friends that form our community here, as well as our local relatives. We have fun together playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, going to movies, traveling, and spending time with friends. We are always learning through reading and Chris is even taking Japanese language lessons!
About Chris
According to Lisa: Meeting and marrying Chris was the best decision I ever made! He is the most intelligent, thoughtful and patient person I have ever met. He treats me with love and respect at all times, and he will definitely do that with our child as well!
Chris is very responsible and can be counted on even in the most stressful situations. Chris embodies a great work ethic, and he has been both a machinist and a manager for 15 years. His job offers a stable income, excellent healthcare and benefits, and enough to provide for anything your child will need or want. Chris loves children and is excited about the prospect of expanding our family though welcoming your child into our home.
Chris is a creative guy who loves playing Dungeons and Dragons, board games, graphic art, and cooking. He is very creative and loves spending time with family and friends doing various hobbies. Chris can’t wait to share his love of board games, video games, watching movies, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with our child.
About Lisa
According to Chris: Lisa is outgoing, fun-loving, and sensitive to other people’s needs. She is so excited about the prospect of growing our family through adoption! Adopting is something that Lisa has had the desire to do for a long time, and we have prayerfully considered it and feel that now is the right time.
Lisa can’t wait to share her love of reading, meeting new people, and experiencing all the Pacific Northwest has to offer to our child. She can’t wait for the chance to be a stay-at-home Mom and be very involved in our child’s life. She plans to volunteer in the classroom, get your child involved in whatever activities they are interested in, and to love and support them unconditionally.
Lisa loves the arts in all forms – going to the theater, ballet, or even just a movie theater is her idea of fun! She really appreciates the beauty people can create using different mediums. Her other passion is watching the Seahawks and playing fantasy football with her family and friends.
Our Home in Washington
We recently bought a 4-bedroom home so there will be plenty of room for our child/children. It has two stories as well as a full basement with room for everyone! Our future child’s bedroom is right down the hall from us so we can watch over them easily. In addition, the house was built in 1907 and was extensively remodeled and updated recently with all the modern conveniences. We have made the house safe, comfortable and welcoming. We look forward to having friends over, getting involved in local activities, and introducing our child to our church family.
We also have a beautiful view of downtown. Our town is a suburb of Seattle, and we look forward to many adventures with our child locally as well as further away. The Pacific Northwest has so many fun outdoor activities to check out as well as church activities, children’s library events, hiking, sightseeing, children’s theater productions and more! Our home is safe, comfortable, and located in an area with great schools and many clubs, sports, etc. for our child to enjoy.
Our Family
We are fortunate to live near Lisa’s parents and sister and her family. Our family loves to get together for game nights, watching sports, hiking, trying new foods, and just hanging out together! Chris’ parents live in Minnesota, but Chris’ sister works for the airlines, so they all plan to take frequent trips to see us and be a big part of our child’s life. All of our family is supportive of our adoption plans and can’t wait to meet our child and welcome them into our family. We also have two cats that we rescued from the Humane Society as kittens. James and Inara do great around kids and strangers.
Our Promise

We commit to giving your child every opportunity in learning, activities, sports, religious education, and fun times! We promise to expose them to the wonders of the world from travel, literature, great music and movies, and more! We will both devote our lives to your child so they can reach their greatest potential. Whatever their individual strengths are, we will help them develop and grow into a positive, well-rounded person.
We feel strongly that adoption is the next chapter in our lives, and we hope to share this chapter with you and your child. Our home will be a safe and comfortable place where your child can learn and grow, while having a ton of fun along the way. We value honesty, our Christian faith, hard work and learning every day along with your child. Most of all, we want to provide unconditional love to your child! Thank you for choosing open adoption. | Our Special Interests | Together we love to travel, hang out with friends and family, and go to movies. Lisa loves collecting old books and Japanese woodblock art. Chris actually loves research, as long as it is for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign! Chris is thrilled that our house has a full basement he can use for woodworking and other projects. One of Lisa's favorite activities is talking to strangers; it is a great way to learn new things! | |
| Our Faith | We both share a Christian faith. We base our faith on our relationship with God and strengthen it in various ways. Lisa attends a weekly Bible study while Chris listens to religious and historical podcasts. We attend a local Christian church. Lisa also loves to learn about other faiths and traditions. We are open to our child exploring their own religious journey. We will also respect and honor your religion, culture and heritage. We are very accepting of people of all religions, beliefs and personal values and habits, but plan to raise our child as a Christian. We will teach them through enrollment in a great Christian preschool, participation in our church services, Sunday School, and at home.
