A Letter from David & Sofia
Hello from North Carolina! We are so honored that you are taking the time to read our profile and peek into our lives. We don’t know you yet, but we believe whole-heartedly that God has a wonderful purpose and plan for you. In regards to us personally, we absolutely love children. We come from two large families, where raising children was the dream for each sibling’s future. Because we cannot naturally conceive, God has provided us with this opportunity to love your child as our own. On a more care-free note, we love the outdoors, meeting new people, playing games, tackling projects, making music, and being silly with each other. We cannot wait to meet you and travel through this adoption journey together!
About Us
We met back in 2016 at a Bible conference, where David led a morning devotional, and Sofia secretly admired him at a distance. After meeting each other that week, we stayed in touch and long distance dated between NC and PA until the big day came the summer of 2021. The Lord definitely made himself known to us throughout our dating period, as David found out through a series of tests and doctors appointments, that he would not be able to naturally conceive children. We knew the Lord was working even in the valley, as He led multiple people to us, encouraging us to become adoptive parents. We are so excited to follow the Lord’s leading in our lives and grow our family through His choosing! Together we love doing family projects, making new friends, hanging out with our nieces and nephews, worshipping together, making music/crafts, and visiting/hosting our families far and near. We can’t wait to meet you and your child!
About Sofia
David says: If I were to describe Sofia in one word, I would say “happiness.” When I first met Sofia, I was drawn to her brightness as she was bubbly and had a joy that overflowed from her heart. I knew she was a gift from the Lord. Over the years, that brightness has not ceased one bit as she is still the happiest person I know, who loves to share that brightness with others around her. She is a strong, godly woman that desires to serve and follow the Lord. She is faithful, loving, hardworking, practical, encouraging, creative, and forgiving. Sofia works 3 days a week at a local hospital as a critical care nurse. Sofia loves to laugh and if I had to guess, I would say most of our nights end up in her tickling me, making jokes to make me laugh, or just giggling about silly things on her own. Sofia has always loved children and since marrying me, she has put all of her joy and happiness towards loving on my many nieces and nephews. I know she cannot wait to dedicate that energy towards her own family. Whether working together, making music, worshipping our Lord and Savior, or being with family and friends, I know Sofia cannot wait to share all that we are, and all the Lord has given us, with you and the children the Lord will bless us with.
About David
Sofia says: David is a charming person who has good social savvy and is a great listener. He is the type of person who meets a stranger in a grocery store and leaves being their new best friend. David works as a project manager for a family construction business; coordinating and scheduling contractors, and making sure projects are done accurately and in a timely manner. He loves hanging out with friends and family on the weekends, and will do various fun activities such as rock climbing, running, soccer, attending pro-sports games, going out to eat, or having movie nights to build friendships. David loves to serve others and will go out of his way to provide a helping hand to anyone who may need it. He cannot wait to love on the child the Lord blesses us with, as he adores our nieces and nephews and seeks to lead them in a way that exalts the name of the Lord. David desires to lead our family in a way that brings the glory back to the Lord, by showing grace, loving mercy, and helping our children learn the truth of the Bible.
Our Home in North Carolina
We love our little 3-bedroom ranch house nestled in the wooded suburbs of North Carolina. Our house is on an acre lot that backs up to the woods which provides us with privacy and many beautiful bird sounds. Sofia loves swings, so we have a swing in our front and backyard hanging from large tulip poplars. We have a little puppy we recently rescued named Douglas! He is such a bundle of joy with his fluffy coat and sweet playfulness. Our neighborhood is very close to local shopping centers, grocery stores, parks, a large city, and family. Our neighbors are amazing, coming over to visit and even taking Douglas on walks when we aren’t home. We love gardening and despite the large deer population, we continue to love planting and landscaping our property with flowers. We have a sweet nursery set up next to our bedroom, and a large living room and den area for many fun memories to be made.
Our Family
Sofia comes from a close-knit family who are involved in their community and church. They love working outside together, as they grew up chopping trees, working at a green house, and doing local landscaping work for the community. They are also a musical family, as each sibling plays a stringed instrument, many times making for quartet nights when everyone is home. Volleyball is their favorite sport to play together, as they have a court in their backyard and a sand court down the street. We love going to visit them, as they live 8.5 hours north of us, and we always have our guest room ready for their special surprise visits!
David comes from a large family of 5 girls and 2 boys! We love hanging out with them throughout the week, as many of his sisters and their families come to the church we attend. David’s parents and a majority of his siblings live within 30 minutes of us, and are frequently visiting one another, whether it’s for birthday parties, picnics, holidays, or game nights. We love being the youngest aunt and uncle of this tribe of children, and enjoy supporting them in their school and sports activities throughout the week. Every family get together is filled with energy, lots of hugs, and endless games with the kids.

Our desire and promise for you and your child is that we will strive to be Godly examples of Christ’s love and make this process as smooth and homecoming as possible. We would love to build a relationship with you and share memories, pictures, and day to day events with you on your terms. We promise to raise your child/children under the teaching of the Bible, surround them with tons of family, support their talents and dreams, and create fun adventures for them to cherish along the way. We can’t wait to model loving service, make them laugh like crazy, and help them be proud of their adoption story.

| Faith Life | One of our favorite ways to exercise our faith is counseling at the Bible camps we grew up going to. We also love hosting people at our house, whether it is having our guest room open for an out of state visitor or making fun fancy dinners for friends in the area, we love welcoming people in and making them feel at home. | |
| Musical Backgrounds | David grew up playing the piano and then transitioned to singing choir in high school. He loves to sing and harmonize to songs we both know and sing together and is a "windows down blast the radio" kind of guy when driving. Sofia loves playing the piano and viola, and grew up playing instruments and singing with her siblings around the piano. She loves using music to make any chore or work more fun, as she is always listening to music when she is working around the house. | |
