Hi, we’re Gergely and Jennifer! We are a happy, healthy, fun, and financially stable couple with big dreams of expanding our family through adoption. We are looking forward to sharing our home filled with laughter, hugs, hope, faith, and respect. We are thrilled at the prospect of daily meals around the family table, sharing our commitment to education and the arts, participating in outdoor sports and community events, spending holidays with family and friends, and enjoying long summer days at the beach.
Above all, we want to give our child or children a loving, supportive, and safe home where they can grow up in a nurturing environment that provides a strong foundation for them to pursue their own dreams.
Our Story
We met in Germany when Jennifer was studying abroad, and we have been inseparable ever since! Gergely is kind, hardworking, athletic, and extremely fun to be around. Jennifer is warm, wise, and always working on ways to make the world a better place through environmental conservation and protection. Gergely works a fast-paced job as a government contractor, and Jennifer is a member of the U.S. Foreign Service (diplomatic corps). We own a lovely three-story townhouse in a gated community in Virginia that is culturally diverse and extremely family friendly. During the week, you can find us trying new recipes, playing with our dog, and catching up on our favorite television shows. On the weekends, you’ll find us at the movies, in a martial arts studio, spending time with family, or kayaking on one of Virginia’s beautiful waterways. We love to travel and explore new places and hope to continue do this as we expand our family.
Meet Gergely!
I am a government contractor, a martial arts enthusiast, and a lifelong language learner. My family is originally from Hungary, but we all grew up in Germany. Given my family and friends were spread out across Europe, I naturally developed an interest in traveling and experiencing the food, music, and traditions of different cultures.
Jennifer says: Gergely is smart and kind and has a smile that lights up any room. At home, he takes pride in fixing and building things around the house, chatting with our neighbors, supporting our community, discovering new local restaurants, and planning our next vacation. Gergely is also an amazing cook, a gifted linguist (he speaks 6 languages), and just about the nicest person I have ever met in my life. He is fun to be around, cares deeply about his family, and looks forward to being the kind of parent who nurtures a child’s talents, teaches them new things (e.g., how to ride a bike, how to tie their shoes, how to sing their ABCs, etc.) and works hard to give them every opportunity to grow into healthy, happy adults.

Meet Jennifer!
I am a public servant, an environmental conservationist, and an unabashed lover of Broadway musicals, Hollywood blockbusters, and food-themed road trips. Born and raised in New York, I grew up with a close-knit family that enjoyed holiday traditions, attending church together, and cooking up a storm on weekends.
Gergely says: Jennifer is kind, compassionate, loveable, beautiful, and intellectually curious. She is quick to help others, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is always ready to try something new—from restaurants and indoor skydiving to checking out the latest Marvel movie. My wife is endlessly optimistic, relentlessly focused on helping people, and is, by far, one of the coolest people I know. She will be a kind, nurturing, and loving mom who instills a deep sense of pride, purpose, hope, and love in the child or children placed in our care. She looks forward to reading to them at bedtime, teaching them how to cook family recipes, helping them with their homework, and taking them to their first musicals.

Our Family
We are blessed to come from very supportive and loving families who are spread across the United States and Europe. Despite the distance, we get together fairly often for special life events, backyard BBQs, summer days at the beach or the marina, and family vacations here and in Europe.
Holidays are a special time for our families to gather at each other’s houses, carry on special traditions, and fill our bellies with delicious family recipes. Some of our favorites include decorating the Christmas tree, building snowmen, watching fireworks on the Fourth of July, and pumpkin carving at Halloween.
Both of our families are extremely excited to welcome a new addition to the family, smother them with love and affection, and create special memories with them, just like they make with us.
Our Home in Virginia
We live in a cozy three-story townhouse in Virginia near natural parks, a marina, several malls, and plenty of kid-friendly sports facilities. We love relaxing on our deck during the summer and fall months and cuddling our pup by the fireplace in the winter. We also enjoy having friends over for game nights, dinners, and special occasions.
Our neighborhood is full of young families with children and includes a large community center with indoor and outdoor pools, a basketball court, indoor rock-climbing walls, and a large fitness facility. Our neighborhood is pretty quiet, and the people are friendly and culturally diverse.
It is very easy to envision raising a family in our home. We spend most of our time in the kitchen cooking or relaxing in the living room. Gergely loves to make improvements around the house, while Jennifer reads on the deck. We love living in Northern Virginia because we are close to the Potomac River, as well as amazing restaurants to satisfy your taste buds and plenty of nature trails to hike and explore. The best part is knowing that there is something to do all year round.
The coziness of our home, the closeness of our family, and the array of local activities are all things we look forward to sharing with a child.

We promise to teach them to be kind, to treat others with care, to find joy in life’s simple pleasures, to believe in themselves, and to never stop reaching for the stars. We will provide them with the best education possible, create the conditions for them to travel and see the world, and nurture their talents and personal interests.
We are committed to raising children who know they are loved, understand the importance of being good stewards of the earth, and appreciate the values of honesty, integrity, and compassion for others.
We promise to tell them their adoption story, so they grow up knowing that their circle of family and loved ones is large and unbroken. We also look forward to meeting you and staying in contact with you at whatever level you are comfortable with.

| Our Family Adventures | We love to travel and explore the world. We've been fortunate to live in Europe, Asia, and Latin America and to learn four languages during that time. While we have enjoyed our overseas travels, it is our time revisiting the wonders of America that we have enjoyed so much of late, from the Grand Canyon and the New York skyline to the serenity of kayaking on local lakes. | |
