"...whoever welcomes a child like this.... welcomes Me."
A Letter from Matt & Cassie
We have enjoyed almost 10 years of marriage and are excited to welcome another little one into our home. We see parenthood as the single most important thing we will ever do in our lifetime and have prepared every aspect of our family life with that in mind. We are praying for you and your child and want you to know that we will unconditionally love your child with all our hearts!
We met in 2009 on a medical mission trip to Puebla, Mexico. We began dating in May of 2010 and, after a whirlwind courtship and engagement, we were married in November 2010.
Matt served in the Army from 2010-2018. W enjoyed the military lifestyle that allowed us to experience different parts of the country. During that time we also experienced several miscarriages and struggled with infertility. Ultimately that led us to adoption and, in 2017, we were blessed to adopt our son Sidney. After our son, we decided to forgo the military lifestyle and move back home to Texas.
We enjoy spending time together as a family. Our weekends consist of going to the park, getting together with grandparents and extended family, or just hanging out at home and grilling out with friends. Once or twice a year we go on longer vacations, going to Florida or picking someplace cool to camp. We look forward to sharing with our kids the value of hard work and a love of the outdoors.
Matt is loyal, loving, faithful, caring, genuine, and fun-loving. He loves to spoil his family whenever given the chance. Matt is a strong leader and takes his responsibility as our family’s provider very seriously. He loves to spend his free time outdoors enjoying nature, working on home projects, and playing games! Matt loves spending time with our son, taking him fishing, or jumping with him on the trampoline. Matt is a doting father and is excited for our family to grow. He looks forward to wrestling games, tea parties, and teaching our next child about nature.
Cassie’s most conspicuous personality traits are her abilities to nurture and love. She is the sweetest, most loving person I have ever met. Her love is the greatest blessing I have ever received in my life. She finds great fulfillment in managing our little household and likes hosting parties with both family and friends. She also enjoys various craft projects and has even built several pieces of furniture. Cassie loves music and is an accomplished piano player. She sings to our son every night at bedtime, and that’s one of the things I know she’ll enjoy sharing with our next little one.
We live in a newly built 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house in Central Texas. We have a spacious backyard with a swing set and trampoline and we frequently spend evenings grilling out on the patio and/or watching our son play. Bailey is our 6-year-old golden retriever who is extremely friendly with new acquaintances of all ages. She’s always been very good with our son and he loves playing with her.
Our son, Sidney, is three-year-old and such a joy. He loves playing outside, whether it’s jumping on the trampoline, playing in his sandbox, or pushing his trucks through the yard. He always enjoys it when we go to our community pool and go to see Daddy at his office. He is very talkative, inquisitive, and always loves listening to music and singing. Sidney loves babies and will make an amazing big brother.
We both come from large, loving families of faith. Matt comes from a family with deep roots in Texas and is the oldest of four siblings. His extended family frequently gathers for holidays and vacations, with all four generations enjoying time together. Cassie is the oldest of five siblings and we enjoy getting together and visiting with her side of the family often. There are lots of little cousins on both sides to hang out with.
Our love will ALWAYS be unconditional. We will provide for our children in all that they do through the abundance we have been blessed with. We will seek to educate their minds and provide for their physical and emotional needs as we teach them to daily love others as themselves. We are devoted to passing on our love for the Lord to our children and sharing with them our passion for music and nature.

More About Our Family
We both grew up in loving, God-centered homes with parents and grandparents who loved the Lord and sought to share their love for Him with us. We love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind and seek to serve Him every day in all that we do. We model Christ's love before our children and share our heart for the Lord with them. We believe that we are saved by grace alone through faith in the redemptive love of Christ on the cross.
Our Musical Interest
We both grew up taking music lessons, so music is a big part of our home life. We enjoy listening to country music and praise music. Sidney has his own Preschool music station on Pandora that he daily asks to listen to. Matt played the guitar growing up and every once in a while will get it out and will play it while Cassie plays the piano. Sidney loves to sit at the piano and sing with Mommy. We enjoy music concerts as well. Every year at Christmas the local community Orchestra has a Christmas concert and we make it a point to attend. When Rodeo time comes around we enjoy the country artist concerts.
About Our Home/Neighborhood
We live in a nice, new subdivision. Our home consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a nice open floor plan. We also have a study where Matt has his office and a small flex area where Cassie has her crafts and projects. The back yard is spacious with plenty of space to play and also has a swing set and trampoline. Our lot backs up to an open field and we enjoy sitting on the back porch in the evenings. Our community has a pool and splash pad that we enjoy taking Sidney during the summer months. There is a walking trail at the end of our cul de sac that we enjoying walking in the evenings after Matt gets home from work.
Sidney is our 3-year-old son. He has a fun and happy personality. From the time he was little he has always enjoyed music, dancing, and singing. He's always asking for us to turn the music on or listen to stories. He's gotten very talkative over the last several months and comes up with some very smart ideas. Playing outside in his sandbox and jumping on the trampoline are his favorite things to do. He loves helping around the house - whether it's feeding our Golden Retriever, unloading the dishwasher, or helping gather the laundry. It makes him feel so big! We've seen his love and gentleness for babies and know he will make a great big brother.
