Hi from Southern California! We’re a fun couple who each moment whether we’re traveling or spending time with loved ones, or simply hanging out at home. It will be a dream come true to make memories as parents. We’ve tried to have a child for many years, going through fertility treatments, failed IVF, and a miscarriage, and we believe it’s all led us to adoption. Right now we’re fostering a young child and we hope we’ll get to adopt her into our family. We’ve always wanted to raise more than one child and are ready to continue building our family through adoption. It would be an honor to learn more about you and the life you want for your child. About Us

About Kim
Shane says: Kim is loving, encouraging, patient, and passionate about teaching. She’s always willing to help others. As a mom Kim will be nurturing and understanding, reasonable and fair, and excited to make memories experiencing life with our child.

About Shane
Kim says: Shane is a lovable giant! He’s outgoing, understanding, reliable, helpful, and always willing to try new things. As a dad Shane will take time to teach our kids what it means to be responsible and respectful, and he’ll always put family first.

Our Home in California
We live in beautiful Southern California, close to the beach and the mountains. Our neighborhood is diverse and friendly. We have a 5 bedroom home with a courtyard in the front entrance, a fenced-in backyard that has turf, as well as a built-in barbecue and smoker. Our home is within walking distance to parks, a community center, walking trails, and the lake. We also have access to two community clubhouses, multiple pools, and fishing pond. We’ve enjoyed preparing a room as the nursery too! This is a great place to raise our family.
Our Family
Our foster daughter is under 1 year old and caring for her has only deepened our desire to continue building our family through adoption. We’d love to raise more than one child and we’re ready to be there for any child who comes into our life.
Shane comes from a small family and Kim is from a larger family with some Filipino background. Most of Kim’s family lives local to us. We like to visit Shane’s family in the Midwest at least once a year. We also have a great circle of friends, including a few Kim has known since high school. On Kim’s side, she has uncles and cousins who were adopted. Everyone in our lives is excited about our plans to adopt a child!
Our Promise
We promise to love your child and provide a caring home where family comes first. As Christians we will raise your child in faith, and teach him or her to be responsible and independent, and to make the most of a good education. We will always take this child’s best interest to heart and create an understanding support system as parents. We promise to be honest with your child about how we became a family through adoption and talk about you with love and great appreciation.
We are very open to an open adoption, if you’d like that. We picture sharing monthly updates and photos, and yearly visits, as you’re comfortable. Of course, we will respect your wishes about the kind of connection you want after the adoption, but we will always keep communication open for you.

| How We Met | We met through a mutual friend who set us up on a blind date. Now we’ve been together for 13 years and happily married for 9! | |
| Our Pets | We have two dogs and one cat. Jax is an English Springer Spaniel and Lyla is a Labrador mix. Both dogs are great with kids and well behaved. Rebel is our newest addition, our curious, fun cat who loves toys. Our pets are a sweet part of our family will be fun for our child to grow up with. | |
