Hello! We’re a multi-cultural couple excited to become first-time parents! Our favorite thing to do is have people over for great food and fun or heartfelt conversation. We love staying connected to those we love. As a mixed-race couple we will make an amazing team as parents, loving and supporting our child in every way we can.
Lisa is proud of her family’s Korean background and we look forward embracing your child’s heritage too. We’d love to share our lives with your child, and welcome a relationship with you too, if you’d like that.
Our Story
We found each other through a Christian Facebook group for singles. Soon after we started chatting, we discovered we had a lot in common AND lived only 15 minutes from each other. It felt meant to be and we were married 11 months later! We’re best friends excited to see where our story leads next.
What we love doing together:
• Play board games and corn hole

• Take walks and go on trail hikes
• Bible study with our church family

About Lisa
I work for my family’s food business and when we adopt, I will become a stay-at-home mom.
What Sterling Loves About Lisa: Lisa is a loving and fun spouse who pays attention to details and truly cares for others. She has so much joy when she is around children and I know she will be a nurturing, involved mother.

About Sterling
I am a fitter working in many roles at a Navy shipyard’s welding school.
What Lisa Loves About Sterling: Sterling is a loyal, hardworking, and always looking for ways to help others. He can be goofy at times, too! He loves playing games with his nieces and nephews or playing ball with the children at church. Sterling will be a fun and attentive father!
Sterling enjoys:

Our Home in Virginia
We live in a brick, ranch-style home in a quiet neighborhood. There are 3 bedrooms and a large living space and kitchen that are great for entertaining and hosting friends and family. We have a big back yard with room for a playset one day. We enjoy taking care of our home (even chores) and having people over to play games or eat Lisa’s homemade feasts.
We love living near the city and the country, with options of for the fun activities and attractions that the city offers, but also the peacefulness and privacy of open country spaces. This is a beautiful place to raise a family!
Our Families
We stay close to our families, who live nearby and out of state. Both sets of our parents are a big part of our lives. We love getting together to vacation, hike, have dinner, and play games. Between us we have six nieces and three nephews (one of whom was adopted!), so our future child will have awesome cousins to grow up with. Everyone has been so supportive of our plans to adopt!
