So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him
(Genesis 1:27)
Did you know that there are over 2 million women experiencing infertility right now? I know that all that matters to you is “will you ever become a mother?” and that is a very natural feeling. But, you must understand that God has a very specific plan and purpose for your life. He holds you in very high esteem and loves you unconditionally. There may be people around you who may not understand your worth. But, God knows the true value of your life because He has invested in you by creating you.
The fact that God has created us in His own image (Gen. 1:26–27; Ps. 8:5; 139:13–16) shows our inherent worth. But, the ultimate proof of our worth is this: God so loved us that despite our rebellion and hostility, He sent Jesus, His Beloved Son, to rescue us from sin and reclaim us from moral and spiritual corruption. This proves that you were born with a purpose and God intends to use your circumstances to bless other people.
The Bible says that God has plans to bless us and give us a hope and a future. This means He doesn’t make mistakes. He knows exactly how to fulfill His good plan for your life and will turn around every trial you encounter to be a blessing to you. Satan may try to rob you of this satisfaction of knowing God’s unconditional love by filling your mind with negative thoughts about your self-worth and your future. But let this truth drive out all negative thought patterns concerning your identity and value in Christ: “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1John.3:1)
As a woman struggling with infertility, you may feel as though you have nothing left to offer. That is not true! God values you and believes you have a lot to offer. Spend time with the Lord today to find out how He wants to use you to be a blessing to others.
