Woman praying for the child He has chosen for you

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
-2 Corinthians 3:18

Reading this verse, you might wonder what it means to be “transformed from glory to glory.” God’s ultimate goal is to modify us from within to reflect His image. But, our transformation often doesn’t happen overnight. It’s like the saying, “It’s not time that heals, but what you do in that time that heals.” Every challenge you face is an opportunity to transform you into God’s image.

What do you do when you pray and God makes you wait for an answer? Do you doubt, complain, worry, or give up? Do you envy women who have children, great husbands, and material blessings? If you’re comparing your blessings with those of others, it’s easy to give into feelings of jealousy. Some of us might even question our worth in His eyes or feel disappointed in God. Don’t beat yourself up over why you’re not as blessed as another woman. God is clear that He wants us to make Him the center of our lives to feel fulfilled. If you don’t, no child could fill that God-shaped hole in your heart.

So, avoid comparing your ‘glory’ with another person’s glory. God knows what your concerns and needs are, and He will bless you according to what He knows you need. God’s timing is utterly perfect; never late or early, but right on time! Be encouraged to remain confident that He will bless you at the right time with the child He has chosen for you.
